David Allen (1950-) is a self-taught artist residing in South Bend, Indiana. Harold Zisla (1925-2016), Professor Emeritus, IUSB, was David’s lifelong friend and mentor. David is known for his onsite paintings of local city and neighborhood scenes and his non-representational work in the studio. His work can be found in private and corporate collections across the U.S. and in the permanent collection of the South Bend Museum of Art and the Mid-West Museum of American Art in Elkhart, IN.
